Questions and Answers (Q&A)

GENERAL - TOOTHBRUSH FUNCTIONS AND FEATURES

1. Is the toothBRUSH ELECTRIC OR HAND TOOTHBRUSH?

The IONICKISS toothbrush (type ORIGINAL, type KIDS) is a manual ionic toothbrush that has a built-in 3V battery, which is used to create a circuit between the body and the brush so that ionisation can take place. You have to clean your teeth in the standard way, but you will feel the difference after brushing your teeth, which will be beautifully smooth and free of dental plaque.

2. Does the brush head vibrate the same way as a traditional electric toothbrush?

No. The IONICKISS toothbrush is used like any regular manual toothbrush. The difference is in the function of ionisation, which takes place inaudibly and without vibrations.

3. Is the toothbrush safe?

Yes, IONICKISS toothbrushes are designed to be absolutely safe and gentle for brushing teeth. The batteries are Panasonic brands and all have safety certificates.

4. How do I know if IONICKISS is meeting expectations?

The results are individual. Many users report a new feeling of cleanliness after several cleanings, especially for smokers. Your dentist may mention that your teeth look smoother and cleaner, and the need for deeper cleaning and polishing may be less.

5. Can the toothbrush irritate my gums?

It is always necessary to choose the right parameters of the brush, such as hardness, bristle length, head shape, so that the gums are massaged when cleaning the teeth, but so that they do not damage them unnecessarily. It also depends on the cleaning technique that your dental hygienist or dentist will help you with. If you have more sensitive gums, it is recommended to start with softer toothbrush heads.

6. What material is the black back of the kids brush made from?

The children's toothbrush uses modern TPE (thermoplastic elastomer) instead of IONIPAD metal tape, which is a thermoplastic composite with a conductive filler that performs a conductive function for the ionisation process.

7. Which head is the right one for me?

There is no clear answer to this question. Some prefer soft and some harder brushes, and it's a good idea to consider bristle density, head size, head shape, and fiber trimming.
However, it is not only the already mentioned parameters of the brushes, but also the cleaning technique that is decisive. In general, people with smaller teeth can choose smaller heads (such as SOFT heads or EXTRA SOFT heads) that reach hard-to-reach places where bacteria hide. For people with high / larger teeth, it may be advantageous to use wide heads (eg our EXTRA SOFT WIDE heads). We recommend that you contact your dentist or dental hygienist to select a suitable head.

8. How often should I change the heads?

Výměnné hlavice doporučují stomatologové měnit každé 2-3 měsíce anebo po prodělaném infekčním onemocnění.

9. On the web, you declare brushing your teeth without toothpaste. Is it possible to use the IONICKISS brush with paste?

Yes. IONICKISS brushes clean teeth just as well with and without paste. The use of paste does not affect the ionisation process.

Ionisation

10. Does the IONICKISS toothbrush really work and why does it remove plaque better?

Yes, it is patented technology that allows dental plaque to get out of the tooth surface more efficiently. Dental plaque binds to the surface of the teeth due to the positive charge created by saliva. The built-in IONICKISS toothbrush battery directs the negative ion flow at the tips of the toothbrush bristles and loosens the bond between the tooth surface and the dental plaque. This makes it easier to remove dental plaque. As evidence, we can cite several clinical studies that confirm the effectiveness of the IONICKISS brush.

11. How does IONICKISS remove plaque?

IONICKISS generates a gentle flow of negative ions that disrupt the ionic bond between the tooth surface and the dental plaque, thus repelling the dental plaque from the tooth surface

12. Does the ionication process work even if the child's teeth are cleaned by the child?

Yes. placing a moist hand on the ionic tape (or on the entire back in the case of child brushes) will create a closed circuit where negative ions are generated. These negative ions disrupt the ionic bond that holds the plaque to your teeth (or your Child's teeth).

13.Will ionisation work if I have dental implants?

Of course! The IONICKISS brush improves plaque removal by ions, so its effect reaches places that are difficult to reach with a conventional brush.

BATTERIES

14. How does the battery work?

The 3V battery is hermetically built into the brush. It is not replaceable. Press the button at the bottom of the brush to see if the battery has enough energy for the ionisation process. If the light is on at the top of the brush (red for the ORIGINAL type and green for the KIDS type), you can use the brush and ionisation will take place during cleaning. If the light is off, replace the brush with a new one.

15. How does the light on the brush work?

The light is only used to test whether the battery has enough power. Testing 1-2 times a week is sufficient. Do not hold your finger on the test button so that the light shines while brushing your teeth, as this will unnecessarily drain the battery.

16. How long does the batterie last?

For manual brushes, we guarantee battery life for at least one year. If the battery status light goes out after less than one year, we recommend that you first thoroughly clean the metal rod on which the replacement head is attached, along with drying the brush for 24 hours. During use, deposits adhere to the metal rod, which may cause insufficient contact with the head and the indicator light (even if the battery is not discharged) will turn off.
If cleaning and drying do not help, do not hesitate to contact us, we will replace your toothbrush with a new one.

17. What should I do with the brush when the battery is low?

Neither the battery nor any part of the IONICKISS toothbrush contains any harmful metal or other material, so you can dispose of them in a normal garbage can.

18. Can the battery be replaced or recharged?

No, it can't be recharged or replaced. The battery is hermetically built into the toothbrush. After its discharge (which usually takes a year to a year and a half), the ionisation process stops working. You then have to buy a new toothbrush.

PATENTS AND STUDIES

19.Where is the technology patented?

The patent can be found in the list of international patents: link

20. Are there clinical trials?

Yes, there are several clinical studies (eg USA, Japan, India) that confirm more effective plaque removal efficiencies by up to 48%. Furthermore, studies show an improvement in the plaque index of 36% and the gingivitis index of 52%.

OTHER

21. Je možné kartáček vrátit?
According to the Civil Code, the goods can be returned within 14 days of receipt, but for toothbrushes, the contract cannot be withdrawn if you unpack the goods and this cannot be offered for hygienic reasons. If you return the brush in its original, unopened and undamaged packaging within 14 days, we will refund your money.
22. Can I use a toothbrush if I have braces?

Yes. Braces are no problem when brushing your teeth with an ionic brush. On the contrary, it removes all impurities very quickly. For example, a single-bundle head is very suitable for cleaning teeth with braces and hard-to-reach places (eg wisdom teeth).

23. Are there any usage restrictions?

The IONICKISS brush is made of plastic and has a hermetically sealed 3V lithium battery, so it must not be exposed to high temperatures (over 70 ° C). Do not store the brush in water due to possible corrosion of the IONIPAD metal tape.

24. I have a pacemaker can I use the IONICKISS brush?

Yes. The current in the battery is so small (10 ~ 50 microamperes) that it is imperceptible to humans. Of course, consult your doctor before starting any new treatment regimen.

25. Can I use the toothbrush if I have fillings in my teeth?

Yes. The ionic brush is suitable for all types of fillings - amalgam, composite or ceramic.
